What Is Microneedling with PRF:
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using thin needles. The procedure can help reduce the appearance of skin concerns such as acne scars, stretch marks or wrinkles. Most people get microneedling for cosmetic purposes, but it can also help with some medical conditions. Microneedling treatments are done by our in house master esthetician. During this minimally invasive procedure, we will use a device with sterile micro needle tips to treat areas of concern. Microneedling with PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) uses highly concentrated cells and growth factors from your own blood to greatly improve the effects of microneedling alone.

What is Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF):
PRF is the most technologically advanced, safest, and effective treatment for skin rejuvenation today.
By introducing your body's own platelets and growth factors back into the face, it invigorates and strengthens the existing tissues to effectively and naturally regenerate lost tissues due to aging with no added chemicals or by-products.
PRF is a natural rejuvenation method using your own body’s powerful blood and growth factors. Blood is drawn from the patient, then it is placed in a centrifuge and spun at elevated speeds in a specialized, horizontal Bio-PRF machine to separate concentrated and natural growth factors from the blood.
PRF is then applied back to the skin to help stimulate revascularization of the skin, as well as improve the recruitment and production of new cells to replace old/damaged tissue.
PRF can therefore be utilized effectively to rejuvenate the skin that has been damaged due to aging and damaged from overexposure to sun and other chemical elements.

Sessions Needed
Our esthetician and doctor will make the ultimate recommendation for your skin, however, it typically takes 3 sessions for people to get the results they want. Each microneedling session is scheduled about 4 weeks apart. Most will start to see improvement after their first treatment! You will then want to come and see us about every six months to help keep that youthful, healthy glow for your skin.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your appointment begins with consulting with the esthetician and going over your unique skin needs. We will then have you remove your make-up, place a topical numbing cream, do a blood draw and place it in a centrifuge to separate the components and make the PRF. We then rinse off the numbing cream, disinfect the skin and perform the microneedling with PRF, followed by a soothing, rejuvenating face mask. Following the appointment you can anticipate the skin to feel tight and have a slight sunburned appearance. This redness typically is not noticeable within 12-24 hrs following the appointment.

How to prepare for your first appointment:
Does it hurt?
Microneedling is minimally invasive and virtually painless. Before we start the procedure, we will apply numbing cream to your skin to minimize discomfort during your treatment. A soothing mask will be applied after microneedling to calm your skin.
What’s the downtime?
Downtime on microneedling treatments typically is very short, it just depends on your skin and how it reacts to the treatment. The skin may be red and a little swollen for a few hours after the treatment, with most redness and swelling gone within 12-24 hours. We recommend not touching or applying unapproved products until your skin feels like it’s back to “normal”.
